The Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame exists to showcase and preserve the rich musical heritage of the greater Blue Ridge Mountains area from northern Georgia to northern Virginia. The Hall of Fame educates, defines and interprets the history of music in the Blue Ridge area and musicians in all genres from the region with exhibits and an annual celebration of inductees.
The Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame is located in beautiful, historic downtown Wilkesboro, N.C. at 100 East Main Street. We are housed in the restored 1902 Courthouse, now the Wilkes County Heritage Museum.

One of the largest one-day arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast. The festival features music, dancing, artwork, crafts, and food traditional to the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The streets of downtown North Wilkesboro are filled with over 425 arts and crafts, 100 food concessions, and 4 different music stages consisting of bluegrass, country, folk, gospel, and Appalachian Heritage.
Appalachian Heritage crafts such as woodcarving, chair making, soap making, pottery throwing, and quilting are highlighted. Local apple growers set up throughout the festival selling their apples, apple cider, and dried apples.
The festival is held annually on the first Saturday in October. FREE admission.

North Carolina in the fall of the year… thinking about it conjures up images of brilliant colors and cooler temperatures. A time when life slows down and nature’s beauty speeds up! With that as a backdrop, Carolina in the Fall™ brings “New Carolina Music” to Wilkesboro, NC, located in the picturesque foothills of NC. This festival has become an annual pilgrimage of bluegrass and folk music lovers. In addition to great music, those that attend will be treated to some of North Carolina’s best food as each year trucks from the region will bring their secret recipes to feed the masses and vie for the Carolina in the Fall™ Food Truck Championship trophy. Additionally, local vineyards and regional craft breweries will be onsite to provide a taste of the region’s best beverages. As a lifestlye festival, CITF offers more than just music and food. Other events include: 1) The North Carolina Banjo Championship, 2) the Chad Lovette Memorial trail run and ride in support of the American Cancer Society and 3) the Silent Auction in support of the Wilkes music after school program. If you need a little getaway from sitting and listening, 4) Contra and clogging dance classes and 5) Artist Workshops are held both days of the festival. Carolina in the Fall Music and Food Festival™ welcomes you to Wilkesboro, NC. "Concerts in the Commons" is a monthly series with an outstanding line-up of bands, food trucks, kids activities, and more at the Wilkes Communications Pavilion stage in the Carolina West Wireless Community Commons. It’s from 6-10 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month, with beach, Americana, bluegrass, blues, classic rock and more.

FaithFest takes place every August on the campus of Wilkes Community College. The mission of FaithFest is to use worship music (in a variety of genres) and the Word of God (via testimonies and the preached Word) to unite believers, save the lost, bring a community together, and spark a revival that will change our area and beyond. Over 10,000 people attend the festival each year.

MerleFest was founded in 1988 in Memory of Eddy Merle Watson as a fundraiser for Wilkes Community College and to celebrate "traditional plus" music. World-famous 4-day Americana roots-music festival with more than 78,000 participants including over 100 artists and bands that perform on the festival’s thirteen stages. Held on the last weekend in April each year.

Enjoy a Friday evening out under the stars watching a movie on a blanket our downtown park. Join us on 2nd Fridays from May through August in the newly renovated Carolina West Wireless Community Commons park for an exciting line up of family-friendly films! Movies will be shown on a 33-foot wide screen with surround sound. Don’t forget to bring blankets and chairs for lawn seating! Food and drinks will be available for purchase. New Addition of kids games prior to each movie. FREE Admission to “Movies on Main” and all kids games are FREE.
