Pam Tillis & Lorrie Morgan
Starts - 3/30/2012
Ends - 3/30/2012

When - 8pm
Where - The Walker Center, WCC
Grand Ole Opry members Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan join forces to grace the stage of The Walker Center. Tillis, winner of three CMA awards, two Grammy awards and an IBMA award, has been a formidable force in country music since her first single hit the charts in 1990. In 2000 she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Pam has proven her versatility as an entertainer. She can tell you what it is like to win big awards, run a record label, sing on Broadway (“Smokey Joe’s Café”), appear on the small screen and sell platinum records, but she'd much rather change the subject to the future. "I've traveled a million miles in my career," says Tillis. "The next million don't scare me a bit." Lorrie Morgan was barely a teenager when she made her first major appearance in 1975 singing “Paper Roses” with her dad, country star George Morgan on the Grand Ole Opry. Since that fateful night, Lorrie has never looked back. In 1984 she made history when at age 25 she was the youngest person ever to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

To date, Tommy's sold over 100 million records and has been awarded 23 gold singles and nine gold and platinum albums. As of 2010, over 300 artists have recorded their own rendition of a Tommy tune (among them Prince, R.E.M, Joan Jett, Tom Jones, Cher and Dolly Parton) or performed his songs in concert (including Bruce Springsteen, Kelly Clarkson and Broken Bells). With his current best-selling book "Me, The Mob and The Music” and upcoming movie and play, it's time to present Tommy James and the Shondells.
